Giuseppe Cavalieri: 1915 - 2001

Little is known about this artist. Giuseppe Cavalieri lived in Little Italy, NYC at the end of his life. The nude sketches that have been aquired by the gallery date from 1967 to 1969. Many of the works are conte crayon on paper, some are pen and ink. Cavalieri has a strong command of the human figure. The sketches come from several books and it is assumed he drew them at live drawing class.
